Ober is 0-2 with a 3.38 ERA in his last three starts but pitched six shutout innings against the Cleveland Guardians last Friday in a no-decision at Minnesota. He yielded four hits, struck out three and walked none.
This will be Ober’s first career appearance against the Rays.

Chirinos was limited to three innings on Sunday in his last start for Durham against Jacksonville in the International League so he could work on short rest Thursday. He did not allow a run while giving one hit, striking out five and walking one in a no-decision.
In his lone major-league start this season, Chirinos did not factor in the decision May 5 against the New York Yankees at the Trop. He was charged with three runs in 5.1 innings in a game the Rays won 5-4.
Chirinos is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA against the Twins in two career starts.
At the major-league level this season, Chirinos is 0-0 with a 3.24 in two games (one start) at home. He held the Chicago White Sox in three innings of relief April 29 in his lone appearance in a day game.
