data-mm-id=”_el3m99l74″>Pat McAfee has established himself as one of the fastest rising stars in sports media since his abrupt retirement from the NFL in 2017. He has a highly-successful podcast, on-field analyst gigs on several broadcasts and has been mentioned a possible booth option for future NFL broadcasts. Then the former Pro-Bowl punter went and tweeted about possibly joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and people on Twitter lost their minds. I have no clue how folks are gonna stop Tampa now.*Heading to the backyard to see if I can kick a ball still— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 21, 2020Over the last few weeks, the Bucs have gone from an NFL afterthought to the hottest hot spot this side of the sun. Tom Brady signed with them in free agency and Rob Gronkowski unretired and was traded to the Bucs yesterday. Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Percy Harvin also expressed an interest in coming out of retirement to play with Brady and, with a star-studded offense that also features wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, it's easy to see why seemingly everyone wants to sign with them. The issue for McAfee is the Bucs don't need a punter. The Bucs signed former 49ers punter Bradley Pinion to a four-year, $11 million deal in March with $3.6 million in guaranteed money, making him the sixth-highest paid punter in the NFL. If they cut him, they'll eat $3.6 million in dead cap space this year, far too much for a team to swallow on a punter. Beyond the money, he's also a quality punter and kickoff man, which was a critical element to the Bucs signing him. He had a 71.3 percent touchback rate as a kicker and, as a punter, he averaged 43.7 gross yards per punt and had 114 punts inside the 20 against 14 touchbacks over his four years with the 49ers. pic.twitter.com/UpUw0TOM4e— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 21, 2020While it's fun for McAfee to joke about joining the Bucs, the reality is they already have their guy and McAfee already has his jobs. He likely wouldn't want to give up his daily podcast, nor the momentum he's built as an NFL analyst. Sorry to be the one to break it to the over 68.8K people who liked McAfee's tweet, but that's the reality as it stands now.

David Wheater has signed a new three-year deal with Bolton Wanderers, the Championship side have confirmed.
The 26-year-old joined Bolton from hometown club Middlesbrough in January 2011 and has made 45 appearances since his arrival, with the majority of those coming in the Premier League.
The centre-back s participation in the 2012-13 campaign was restricted to just four brief substitute appearances, however, after he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in May of last year.
But, having proved his fitness in pre-season training, Wheater has expressed delight at earning a new contract.
I m very happy to have signed, he told the club s official website.

France coach Raymond Domenech has warned that nothing short of victory will suffice against old foes the Faroe Islands, now managed by former Republic of Ireland boss Brian Kerr, in Wednesday s 2010 World Cup qualifier.
A glance at the Group 7 standings explains the French boss s unease ahead of the game in Torshavn with his men lagging eight points behind leaders Serbia, albeit with two games in hand.
The winners of each group qualify automatically for South Africa with the best runners-up being forced into a play-off, an eventuality Domenech wants to avoid at all costs.
Anything barring victory is a catastrophe, the man who led France to the 2006 World Cup finals insisted in a video published on the French Football Federation s website.

Hamburger SV are eager to cash in on midfielder Gojko Kacar before the January transfer window closes.
Kacar, 25, is one of the highest earners at the club and is nowhere near winning a place in the starting line-up, so no wonder the club officials want to push him towards the exit door.
The Serbian midfielder appeared to be on his way to Hannover, after the two clubs agreed on the transfer fee, but he could not agree personal terms with the 96ers.
Kacar appears to be perfectly happy to stay on the fringes at Imtech Arena and keep pocketing hefty salary, but HSV have other plans.
“We now have until the end of the month to find another club for Gojko (Kacar),” sporting director Frank Arnesen .
Kacar is currently earning €1.5m per campaign, b…
