Barcelona are interested in signing Julian Alvarez from Manchester City in the summer of 2024, according to . The Spanish publication has claimed that Barcelona are looking at a potential replacement for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season, and City forward Alvarez is on their radar.
Alvarez has made 39 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The forward has scored 12 goals and given three assists in those games. Alvarez won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season and helped Argentina win the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Barcelona are third in the La Liga table at the moment with 21 points from nine matches, three points behind leaders and bitter rivals Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Manchester City currently find themselves third in the Premier League table with 18 points from eight games, two points behind North London clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who are first and second respectively in the standings.
